From April 2026 all courses at Milton Keynes Tennis Club (Except any pay as you go courses) will be moving from termly one-time payments to monthy direct debits. The below sets out and provides an overview of how the new system will work, along with any other vital information that's new or changing.
This policy outlines how monthly Direct Debit payments, attendance expectations, cancellations and programme scheduling are managed for all DRH Sports coaching courses delivered at Milton Keynes Tennis Club.
All regular coaching course payments at Milton Keynes Tennis Club are paid monthly via Direct Debit and are billed on the 1st of each month.
Our coaching programme runs for 45 weeks of the year but is only charged for 43 weeks. This allows for a limited number of sessions to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
If a particular scheduled session is cancelled more than twice within a calendar year due to weather conditions, DRH Sports will endeavour to arrange a suitable make-up session at a time that fits within the overall programme and coaching team availability.
Our coaching programme will only break for the following scheduled periods each year (exact dates will be communicated to all enrolled participants):
2 weeks during the school Christmas break
2 weeks during the school Easter break
3 weeks at the end of the summer holidays
Please note that during the above scheduled break periods, monthly course payments will still be due. This is because course fees are calculated based on the total number of sessions delivered across the year and divided into 12 equal monthly payments.
Depending on when you join a course, our system may charge you for any sessions taking place between your booking date and the date your Direct Debit becomes active.
In some cases, you may also be required to pay more than one month upfront before joining. This is because there may not be sufficient time for your Direct Debit to be successfully set up before your first scheduled session.
Any upfront payments required will be clearly explained at checkout.
All coaching course places are ongoing and will continue until cancelled.
We require a minimum of 30 days written notice to cancel a Direct Debit subscription. Notice must be provided via email to DRH Sports.
Missed sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable except in circumstances outlined below.
From April 2026, DRH Sports will no longer offer make-up sessions for missed classes due to personal circumstances such as:
Holidays
Birthdays
School trips
Minor illness or injury
If a participant is unable to attend for a prolonged period due to illness or injury and has been advised not to take part in physical activity or tennis, parents/guardians should contact DRH Sports directly to discuss their circumstances.
Requests will only be considered where appropriate supporting evidence is provided. Extenuating circumstances may also be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Coaching sessions scheduled on Bank Holidays will run as normal unless otherwise communicated in advance.
In the event of coach illness or absence, DRH Sports reserves the right to provide a suitably qualified replacement coach without entitlement to refund or credit.
Participation in coaching courses may require an active Milton Keynes Tennis Club membership in accordance with club policy.
DRH Sports reserves the right to suspend participation in coaching sessions where payments are missed or where Direct Debit collections fail.
Participants may not be permitted to attend sessions until outstanding balances have been cleared.
DRH Sports reserves the right to make reasonable changes to session times, groupings, coaches or court allocations where required for operational purposes.
